December 16
We were on the trail by 8:15. A clear day to navigate by. Today we had another thing to add to the mix, really soft snow. Your skis start to sink into it. Even though we did almost 23km in the toughest skiing so far. It was a great relief to set up camp, sink into the tent with a hot drink and just rest. Location south 84.16 west 074.47. We are now at camp 11 having skied 11 days straight. We refer to ourselves as team Candu. An acronym for Canadian, Australian, Norwegian, Dutch, US. We will be the first C, A, D and US team to ski this route to the Pole. Hopefully conditions will improve because it was slow going today.
